We are committed to: liberal appreciation of world culture, the aloha spirit, and traditional shopping (mail order or cash-and-carry). We take a dim view of online auctions, price guides, electronic payments, cell phones, etc. Dedicated record collectors will find better records here without much in the way of nonsense or hassle -- the way buying records should be. We accept trade from reasonable people; no eBay sellers, please.
Items for sale are original 12" 33rpm LP records except as listed otherwise. Use your browser's search function to search key words (idiom, artist, label, song, etc.) per page. To return here (the home page), just click on the Hip Wax logo at the top of each page.
Grading
Condition grades are assigned for both play and appearance--according to the standards of top collectors, DJs, and traditional resellers. If you have any doubts, inquire. Further jacket specifics (rub wear, splits, writing, etc.) available upon request.
Used LPs have been handled and cleaned with utmost care and always include both inner sleeves (usually original) & protective plastic outer sleeves. Generally, everything graded "E" or higher is clean, what many call "mint." Items that are "E-" or below show wear but usually play very well. Specific flaws may be mentioned in the description.
